Rava (Suji) : 1 Cup
Banana : 1 No (sliced in rounds)
Sugar : 1 Cup
Ghee : 1/3rd Cup
Full Cream Milk : 1 Cup (Boiled)
Mixed Nuts : Chopped and fried in ghee (Almonds & Cashews)
Cardamom Powder : 1 Teaspoon
Saffron : 1 Pinch soaked in Warm Milk.
Method.
Heat a thick bottomed pan on medium flame. Put ghee in it, once ghee is heated then add sliced banana. Fry till golden brown. Then Add the Rava to it. Roast the rava in ghee and banana until slightly Golden. Now Add one cup warm milk to it and stir well. Cover for just 30 seconds. The mixture will start puffing up. Now add sugar, saffron, cardamom powder and chopped nuts to it and mix well. Cover and cook until desired consistency or until sugar settles down. Garnish with rose petals or some more nuts.Serve hot with puri or as it is.
Tips: U can also add a little of vanilla or kewda essence as per your taste to this. To make yellow sheera add yellow edible color in the milk before pouring in the mixture.
